Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

These contract roles will place you in a dynamic, itinerant position supporting students with diverse needs for the 2026-2027 school year, following the academic calendar (tentatively 08/10/2026 – 06/11/2027). While you’ll be part of a supportive network, each day offers the chance for new challenges—covering absences, supporting schools as a substitute, or providing long-term coverage for vacations or leaves.

Essential Experience & Credentials:

• Active Pennsylvania teaching license.
• Current PA PDE Certification—must have one or more of the following: Experience-Based Certificate in Special Education PK-12, Instructional I Certificate in Special Education subject areas, or Instructional II Certificate in Special Education subject areas.
• Robust experience working in special education classroom settings.
• Proven record of participation in IEP development and execution.
• Commitment to in-person instruction only; remote options are not available.
• Willingness to travel within Carbon or Lehigh counties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

• Step into various classrooms to ensure continuity of instruction for students with special needs.
• Collaborate with on-site staff to support IEP goals and provide tailored educational experiences.
• Communicate regularly with administrators, classroom teams, and families as needed.
• Provide support in assigned IU classrooms when substitutions are not required.
