Social Media Content Publishing Specialist Job Description The Social Media Content Publishing Specialist translates brand and enterprise content into engaging, platform-appropriate social media experiences through content packaging, publishing, optimization and light creative development. Manage the publishing workflow for BCBSM and AHM social media channels, ensuring content is scheduled, optimized and delivered accurately across platforms. Translate brand journalism, corporate communications and enterprise content into channel-appropriate social media formats that support engagement and business objectives. Maintain and steward the social media content calendar, coordinating publishing schedules, approvals and platform-specific requirements. Write and adapt social media copy that reflects brand voice while aligning messaging to audience needs and platform best practices. Create and edit social media content using existing templates, approved brand assets and user-friendly design tools such as Adobe Express, Canva or similar platforms. Partner with communications, marketing and business teams to package content for optimal social media performance. Leverage social media management platforms such as Sprout Social to schedule and publish content across channels. Analyze content performance and recommend improvements to publishing approaches, content formats and channel execution. Maintain an understanding of platform trends, emerging features and audience behavior to help improve content effectiveness. Utilize artificial intelligence and other emerging tools to improve publishing efficiency, content adaptation and creative workflows while adhering to organizational standards. Working knowledge of graphic design principles and the ability to create and edit simple branded assets using templates and approved visual systems. Proficiency with creative and content-production tools such as Adobe Express, Canva, Photoshop or comparable platforms. Strong understanding of social media platform requirements, content formatting and channel best practices. Experience adapting content for multiple audiences, platforms and formats. Familiarity with AI-enabled content and creative tools and an understanding of responsible and ethical use. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines within a fast-paced publishing environment. Responsible to write, edit and proofread content for a variety of internal and/or external communications. Write clear and compelling content while maintaining a consistent brand voice. Proofread internal and external communications content for clarity, tone, style and grammar to ensure communications are high quality and results oriented. Research and produce communications content that is informational, educational and drives engagement. Develop and deliver presentations to internal team members and leadership. Research targeted audiences and suggest communication channels. Support special projects as assigned. Generate ideas to improve communication processes and delivery methods. " Qualifications " Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications or related field is required. Three (3) years of professional communications experience is required. Previous experience working in the healthcare industry is preferred. Advanced copywriting, editing and written communication skills. Advanced Microsoft Word and intermediate PowerPoint skills. Intermediate knowledge of multimedia technologies. Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently while meeting deadlines. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
