Details Work in the IMC unit, also supporting the Thoracic Surgery unit Patient population includes telemetry, oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/stepdown cases Day/evening 12-hour shifts from 7:00am-7:30pm, Monday through Friday Every other weekend required, with block weekend scheduling (Fri-Sun) considered Some holiday coverage required, including Dec 24 and Dec 25 with no time off approved Uses Epic charting system Floating required as needed Requirements Active WI RN or compact RN license required Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only) Minimum 2 years acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty Experience in an Academic Level I or II trauma center or similar size hospital required Trauma Level I and Level II experience required Telemetry oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/stepdown experience required Ventilator management and post-transplant care experience required Must pass a telemetry exam with strict scoring criteria prior to starting Skilled in IV therapy, central/peripheral line management, and blood product administration Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management Experience with non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, and tracheostomy care Additional Information Provide direct patient care in a Magnet-designated, nationally ranked academic teaching hospital Participate in rapid response and code team activations as needed Teaching hospital experience preferred Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted Parking permit required if parking onsite, with alternative transportation options available References are not required for consideration American Traveler Job ID P-770617.
