We are Atlanta's first Life Plan Community (LPC) – what some call a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC).Canterbury Court is seeking a Cook to join our team. This position is in the Dining Services division of our Life Plan Community (LPC). Constantly striving to provide the best in service through attention to detail and efficiency.Job ResponsibilitiesPrepares all hot food items required on the menu for all mealsAccurately prepares dishes according to recipesPrepares food items as required by following the production sheetsCommunicates daily regarding changes, problems special functions, etc.Records food temperatures each meal and serves at the acceptable levelWashes all large equipment used in preparation with SanitizerKeeps work area clean, sanitize bucketUtilizes all over produced food items appropriatelyWraps, labels, dates and stores all over-produced food itemsPerforms all duties as assignedRequirementsAbility to read and write and implement own work schedule. Basic knowledge of the principles of food preparation and garnish as well as the ability to use certain kitchen equipment. Must be mentally alert and possess accuracy in measuring food ingredients and portions. Must be able to prepare foods of high quality in specified quantities.Training and ExperienceExperience desirable but not required.
