Senior Business Development Director for Data Services [Remote]

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Business Development Director for Data Services based in the United States.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales leader to drive strategic business growth within the data services and localization industry. In this role, you will lead enterprise-level business development initiatives, identify new market opportunities, and build lasting relationships with global organizations. Working in a collaborative and international environment, you will influence commercial strategy while managing the complete sales lifecycle from prospecting to contract execution. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions that address complex customer needs. Accountabilities

• Identify, qualify, and pursue new enterprise business opportunities across target industries, with a strong focus on acquiring new strategic customers.
• Manage the complete sales cycle, including prospecting, lead generation, discovery, solution positioning, proposal development, contract negotiation, and successful deal closure.
• Develop trusted relationships with executive stakeholders, procurement teams, and business decision-makers to understand customer objectives and recommend tailored solutions.
• Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting, revenue planning, and consistent achievement of sales targets.
• Lead the growth and strategic development of newly acquired accounts, supporting long-term customer success and revenue expansion.
• Collaborate with product specialists and internal teams to position the full portfolio of data and localization services effectively.
• Support commercial strategy development alongside sales leadership by contributing market insights, competitive intelligence, and business planning.
• Participate in industry events, networking activities, and market research to strengthen brand presence and identify emerging business opportunities.
• Maintain high standards of CRM data quality, sales process compliance, and reporting while sharing best practices across the business development organization.

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of experience in business development, enterprise sales, or strategic partnerships, including several years managing complex enterprise sales cycles.
• Demonstrated experience selling solutions within the localization data services industry.
• Proven success acquiring new enterprise clients and consistently exceeding revenue targets in competitive markets.
• Strong expertise in outbound prospecting, pipeline generation, account planning, and sales forecasting.
• Experience managing large, multi-stakeholder opportunities from qualification through negotiation and contract execution.
• Excellent commercial negotiation, proposal writing, and executive presentation skills with the ability to build compelling business cases.
• Strong analytical capabilities with experience using sales metrics to optimize pipeline performance, conversion rates, and revenue growth.
• Deep understanding of customer discovery, stakeholder mapping, solution selling, and consultative sales methodologies.
• Excellent relationship-building, networking, communication, and collaboration skills across internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to operate independently in a remote environment while balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
