The Opportunity

We are seeking a Production Supervisor to join our Manufacturing team in Carlsbad, CA. This role will oversee the preparation, production, packaging, and shipment of blended materials while ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in line with customer specifications and company standards.

Reporting to the Production Manager, this position will partner closely with Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Planning, Purchasing, and Sanitation to support daily operations, food safety, continuous improvement, and a strong safety-first culture

Required Schedule: Sun - Thur 8pm - 4:30am

Essential Functions

• Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations across blending, inspection, packaging, and warehouse areas.
• Promote a behavior-based safety culture with a focus on creating a zero-risk workplace.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives using Glanbia Performance System principles.
• Ensure proper documentation, labeling, packaging controls, and product quality standards are followed.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings and assign team members to support production needs.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure orders are completed safely, accurately, and on time.
• Ensure equipment, materials, and production areas are properly cleaned, set up, and used in accordance with cGMP standards.
• Supervise, coach, train, and develop manufacturing team members while supporting performance, attendance, and engagement.
• Support food safety programs, including HACCP, allergen control, sanitation, housekeeping, and pest control practices.
• Foster Glanbia’s culture of Living the Values through a positive, hands-on, “can do” leadership approach
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred, especially in a technical discipline.
• Prior manufacturing supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience leading, training, coaching, and developing employees.
• Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, sanitation, cGMP, and quality standards.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of production documentation, weigh-up processes, and computer systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

Compensation for roles at Glanbia varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. Glanbia provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in CA. This range may not be applicable to other locations. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. The annual salary for CA based employees for this role is $75,000-$95,000k with an annual bonus.
