South Florida established multi-practice firm of 18 years is expanding and looking for an experienced Litigation Attorney to join their team. They are looking for a successful litigator with 5 or more years of litigation and trial experience. Successful candidates will have prior civil litigation, commercial litigation, state attorney or public defender experience, family law experience is a plus but not required. The firm offers a great office culture with a cooperative environment and an excellent support staff including assistance with drafting, scheduling, and onboarding.

 

As a litigation attorney you will be expected to handle assigned cases from inception to trial, deliver strategic legal insights, and design a custom course of action that is in the best interest of the client. Ideal candidates will be bilingual in Spanish, mediation experience is a plus. This position is full time, a hybrid schedule is available but must be able cover all in-person events, such as in-person trials, hearings, mediations, depositions, client meetings, etc., in the South Florida Tri-County area of Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.

 

Qualifications:

• Must be licensed in good standing with the Florida Bar
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of litigation and trial experience, civil litigation, commercial litigation, state attorney or public defender experience preferred, family law experience is a plus but not required
• Bilingual Spanish is preferred and mediation experience is a plus
• Must open and willing to learning the area of family law
• Must have the confidence and ability to handle all aspects of client representation from initial meeting through trial
• Must be experienced in drafting discovery, motions, and legal document
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
• Must have strong legal research skills
• Must be proactive and invested in personal growth as well as the growth of the firm
