Accounting Manager

A prominent Real Estate Developer & General Contractor is looking for a driven Accounting Manager to oversee corporate accounting, project reporting, and financial compliance across active commercial and mixed-use buildouts. This role sits directly under the CFO and offers a direct path toward an Assistant Controller or Controller position as the firm's portfolio expands across Central Texas. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day general ledger operations, month-end close, and financial statement preparation. Oversee lender draw requests, capital call management, and joint venture waterfall accounting. Manage a team of Project Accountants, AP/AR specialists, and payroll personnel. Coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and banking/bonding relationships alongside executive leadership. Qualifications 5+ years of accounting experience in commercial construction or real estate development. Proven leadership or supervisory experience managing small-to-mid size accounting teams. Experience with real estate/construction ERPs such as Yardi, MRI, Sage 300 CRE, or Sage Intacct. Strong knowledge of GAAP, joint venture accounting structures, and draw management.
