Accounting Manager

Austin, TX | Hybrid (2 days in-office, 3 days remote) | Full-Time About the Opportunity We're partnering with a well-established public services organization in Austin to find an Accounting Supervisor to lead their Revenue accounting function. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who wants to own a full accounting cycle end to end — billing, collections, revenue recognition, and payment posting — while also driving process and technology improvements across a growing team. What You'll Do Lead day-to-day operations for the billing and payment applications team, keeping processes running smoothly and accurately Review billing and accounting entries for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards Partner with internal business units to communicate on upcoming billing changes and ensure documentation stays accurate Troubleshoot systems and process issues, bringing practical solutions to keep operations running without disruption Build a collaborative, high‑performing team environment Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and adopt new technology to increase efficiency What You Bring 9+ years of experience in accounting, business, or a related field, including at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory capacity A degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field is a plus and may offset some required experience CPA license or CPA candidacy required Strong communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally with both internal and external partners A track record of maintaining strong internal controls and accuracy in a high-volume accounting environment Compensation Salary range is competitive and commensurate with experience.
