Job Details We are seeking a senior-level Estate Planning Attorney to join our private client/trusts and estates group in Los Angeles. This is a role for an experienced practitioner ready to manage sophisticated matters, mentor junior attorneys, and actively participate in client relationships and business development. Responsibilities Design and implement sophisticated estate, gift, and wealth transfer plans for high-net-worth individuals and families, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and related instruments. Advise on advanced planning techniques (e.g., GRATs, IDGTs, charitable vehicles, dynasty and generation-skipping trusts, family entities). Counsel clients on estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax matters and coordinate with tax and business colleagues on integrated planning. Handle trust and estate administration, including fiduciary counseling and post-mortem planning. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school and active admission (in good standing) to the bar of the applicable jurisdiction. 7+ years of substantive estate planning / trusts and estates experience at a law firm. Deep working knowledge of federal transfer tax and sophisticated wealth transfer strategies. Strong drafting skills across the full range of estate planning instruments.
