About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred License: Must hold an active nursing license Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Experience with patient ratios of 6:1 - Proficiency in using the Epic charting system - Ability to float as required Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical specialty. The shift is during the day for 12 hours, requiring a commitment of 36 or 48 hours per week. Two years of experience is preferred, and new travelers are welcome to apply. Floating between similar units is required based on facility needs. You will be caring for adult and geriatric patients. The daily census is approximately 24 patients. The unit consists of 30 rooms and 30 beds. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. The patient diagnoses will vary, and there will be special procedures conducted on the unit. Required skills include managing ports, administering blood products, and providing wound care. Additional skills in telemetry monitoring, IV management, and post-hemodialysis care are also necessary.
