We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team.

Job summary:

The Legal Assistant will support case managers in all aspects of personal injury litigation, from initial client intake to case resolution. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, be capable of managing a high-volume caseload, and have experience working in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist case managers with their caseload from intake through settlement
• Draft and file legal documents
• Organize and maintain case files, medical record, evaluations
• Communicate with clients, medical providers, and insurance adjusters
• Calendar and manage deadlines
• Summarize medical records and bills
• Monitor case progress and ensure timely follow-up on all necessary tasks
• Maintain confidentiality of all clients and case information
• Requesting medical and billing affidavits
• Requesting Medicaid liens, hospital liens, health insurance liens

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in personal injury law
• Strong understanding of personal injury litigation processes and terminology
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software (Needles)
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required
• Associate’s degree preferred
