Title
Registered Nurse - Palliative Care

Schedule
36 or 48 hours per week, rotating shifts (Day/Eve/Night), including weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed.

Assignment Details
Contract Length: 17 weeks

Requirements
- New York State RN License
- 2 years of recent palliative or acute medical/surgical experience
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Experience with patient-controlled analgesia pumps or CHPN certification is highly desired

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to patients with intensive symptom management needs at the end of life.
- Conduct astute assessments to advocate for patients and their families in crisis.
- Manage complex patient needs and coordinate with family members for optimal care planning.
- Ensure proper administration of medication and patient-controlled analgesia as per protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with facility policies and standards.
