Neonatologist

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking Board Certified Neonatologists to join their collaborative team on a per diem basis at Southeast Health and Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL. This role offers a supportive and flexible environment with a strong emphasis on work-life balance and clinical excellence. It provides an opportunity to supplement income by working a few shifts per month, with no minimum hour requirement.

Practice Info

• Staffing Model: 2 Neonatologists and 3 NNPs
• NNPs cover day shifts 7 days/week and 2 night shifts
• 18-bed Level III NICU at Southeast Health and Level II NICU at Flowers Hospital
• 30 LDRP beds and 20-bed Newborn Nursery at Southeast Health
• NICU ADC: 11 at Southeast Health and 2-3 at Flowers Regional
• Regional transport team staffed by RNs and RTs

Compensation

• Pediatrix does cover your travel expenses (round trip flight/rental car or mileage and lodging) for those who reside outside a commutable distance from the practice
• Malpractice insurance for this W-2 per diem position is covered

Requirements

• Active AL license or IMLC license preferred
• Board Certification in Neonatology required
• A minimum of 1-year post-fellowship clinical experience required
• Recent Neonatologist experience required (within the past 12 months)
