Our software platforms support certification management, compliance workflows, and digital transformation across regulated industries.Role OverviewThe Director of Engineering provides technical and people leadership for Everblue's software platforms. This role is responsible for engineering execution, system reliability, and technical direction while partnering closely with product and operations to support business objectives. This role is primarily onsite to support collaboration and execution, with limited flexibility as business needs allow.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and manage the engineering team, including performance management and professional developmentSet technical direction and oversee architecture, system design, and engineering standardsEnsure timely and reliable delivery of software enhancements, features, and fixesPartner with product, project management, and operations to align priorities and timelinesEstablish best practices for code quality, testing, security, and documentationManage technical risk, system scalability, and technical debtSupport compliance, data integrity, and audit-readiness requirementsOversee incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiativesRequired Qualifications10+ years of professional software engineering experience5+ years of experience in engineering leadership or people management rolesStrong experience with modern web application architectures and cloud-based systemsProven ability to lead teams in a product-focused or SaaS environmentStrong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersPreferred QualificationsExperience working in regulated or compliance-driven environmentsBackground in small to mid-sized organizations where leaders remain close to executionFamiliarity with Agile development practices and Jira or similar toolsCompensation and Benefits: Compensation is commensurate with experience.
