HVAC Truck Based Journeymen Mechanic (union)

Responsibilities Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement services on commercial HVAC systems including rooftop units, pumps, fans, towers, boilers, chillers, compressors, and plumbing. Partner with Journeymen to repair centrifugal, steam turbines, and open‑drive screw chillers. Provide customers with solutions to improve facility efficiency, including upselling opportunities and commissioned service. Draft quotes and participate in Johnson Controls Service Plus Rewards program. Serve the Western Wisconsin region, primarily Tomah, WI; travel up to two hours, 10‑20% travel to support branch customers. Qualifications Member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry (UAPPFI). Minimum 3 years of commercial/industrial HVAC troubleshooting experience. Proficient with mechanical shaft alignment, vibration equipment, and diagnostic tools. Must pass a knowledge examination assessing HVAC proficiency. Valid driver’s license and state/local EPA refrigerant licensing where required. Self‑starter, strong safety focus, excellent written and verbal communication.
