The Safety Technician prevents workplace injuries by conducting daily field inspections and monitoring employee compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety audits of work areas to identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential workplace hazards.
• Monitor field operations to ensure strict adherence to OSHA regulations and internal company safety policies.
• Verify that all personnel properly utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) for assigned tasks.
• Manage and distribute essential safety resources, including hydration stations and inventory supplies.
• Assist management with the preparation and delivery of toolbox talks, safety meetings, and instructional training sessions.
• Documentation & Reporting: Accurately document unsafe conditions or behaviors and promptly escalate reports to the Safety Coordinator.
• Personnel Engagement: Promote a proactive safety culture through consistent, clear communication and professional engagement with staff.
• Complete additional safety-related objectives and tasks as assigned by department leadership.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable, verifiable driving record.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills with a commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and basic occupational health and safety principles.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively coach personnel and reinforce safety standards.
• Ability to work productively both independently and within a team-oriented environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk on uneven terrain, and climb stairs for extended periods in all weather conditions.
