Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Active RN license required Certifications: ACLS BLS NIHSS Must-Have: Experience with EPIC charting is required Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Neuro Progressive Care Unit. The shift schedule consists of three 12-hour night shifts. Charting experience with EPIC is mandatory for this role. The nurse will be responsible for caring for adult patients with various neurological conditions. The patient care includes neurosurgical recovery, stroke management, and continuous epilepsy monitoring. Acceptable patient ratios are up to 1:5. The candidate must also be comfortable floating to other units within their skill set. Emergency response skills are critical, including dysrhythmia management and participation in rapid response teams. The nurse will administer medications, including cardiac drips (without titration), perform IV therapy, and manage blood products. Experience in respiratory support and isolation precautions is also required. The nurse must be willing to work one holiday during each contract period. Compliance with call-off policies and weekend shift requirements is expected. The facility is committed to nursing excellence and provides a supportive interdisciplinary environment.
