Shift hours are three 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM. Charting experience with Epic is required. The nurse may be required to work every other weekend or complete six weekend shifts in a six-week scheduling block. All requests for time off must be included during submission. The facility has a policy that allows for one call-off shift per two weeks. Nurses must work one holiday during the 13-week contract. First-time travelers are accepted. Candidates must hold an active license, and only single-state licenses from non-compact states are accepted if they are pending. The role requires monitoring and managing cardiac drips without titration, as well as experience in dysrhythmia interpretation. Successful candidates will assist in IV therapy, blood product administration, and central and peripheral line care. Respiratory support via nasal cannula and oxygen administration is also part of the role. Nurses will use rapid response and code teams while maintaining isolation precautions as needed. The unit serves adults and geriatric patients with a ratio of 1:5. One bed is dedicated to chronic ventilator patients. The unit specializes in the care of patients with various medical diagnoses. Floating to different areas within skillset may be required. Nurses will work closely with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy and pharmacy. Compliance with the facility's requirements for seasonal vaccinations is mandatory. The candidate will need to manage care for patients with general medicine and hospitalist diagnoses. The position may require additional modules during the assignment.
