Position Summary Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Virology, Immunology and Microbiology at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. One NIH‑funded postdoctoral fellow position in Dr. Lu Huang’s laboratory. Job Description Dr. Huang’s laboratory focuses on innate immune responses during Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection, with particular emphasis on the immunometabolism of innate immune cells, including macrophages and neutrophils. The lab employs multidisciplinary approaches—including immunology, microbiology, cell biology, metabolism, and genomics—to address fundamental questions in host‑pathogen interactions and innate immune responses in the lung. Required Skills & Qualifications Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Immunology, Microbiology, Lung Biology, Cell Biology, or a related field. Extensive experience in small animal procedures, flow cytometry and immune cell purification and culture. Strong background in macrophage biology, innate immunity, and immunometabolism. Experience working in a Biosafety Level 3 laboratory is strongly encouraged. Strong time‑management and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic research environment.
