Job Title

Travel RN – PCU / Stepdown (Nights – 3x12's)

Location

Indianapolis, Indiana

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3x12-hour shifts | 36 hours guaranteed per week | 12-week assignment | Weekend rotation every 3rd weekend | Holiday rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 23-bed Surgical Progressive Care Unit (SPCU) serving cardiovascular, cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery patients
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:3 to 1:4 in accordance with unit standards
• Document all patient care activities accurately using EPIC EMR
• Participate in weekend rotation (every 3rd weekend, Saturday and Sunday nights) and holiday rotation as scheduled
• Float to other stepdown or PCU units within the facility as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN state licensure (Indiana license or compact eligibility required)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a stepdown, PCU, or progressive care setting
• Demonstrated experience caring for CVPCU, cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery patients
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a surgical progressive care or intermediate care unit environment
• Familiarity with caring for complex cardiac and thoracic post-operative patient populations
