Job Purpose The Senior Experience Designer is responsible for the strategy and execution of written content across client projects, crafting clear, user-focused copy with an emphasis on life sciences and ecommerce experiences. In this role, you’ll help elevate design output by balancing customers’ need for detailed information with concise, easy-to-scan messaging. You’ll collaborate closely with Product Management, Design, and Content Strategy to ensure that the brand voice is applied consistently across digital touchpoints—product detail pages (PDPs), banners, site-wide messages, and in-product copy. This role is hands‑on and collaborative, focused on delivering excellent UX copy rather than managing a team or owning a full practice. Responsibilities / Duties Client‑Focused UX Copy & Design Drive the creation of content design and content calendar to shape storytelling and communicate key messages that are on‑brand to multiple audiences. Ensure content designs are created from a holistic standpoint—systems, platforms, and channels to create a unified user experience. Apply an understanding of life sciences and/or ecommerce contexts to create user‑centric copy that balances technical or regulatory information with brevity and clarity. Contribute to UX copy guidelines and language standards (e.g., site‑wide messages, calls‑to‑action, error messages) informed by brand voice and tone. Support PDP (Product Detail Page) efforts by recommending the most efficient, impactful copy that meets users’ informational needs without overwhelming them. Review copy across the site for consistency and clarity, ensuring that messaging aligns across the user journey. Review on‑site marketing banner copy (approx. 4–6 banners per week) and provide constructive feedback to content strategy and design teams. General UX Writing & Collaboration Write grammatically correct, compelling copy for user interfaces (buttons, labels, error states, empty states, microcopy, etc.). Edit and proofread copy to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to style guides and brand standards. Participate in product team meetings to present copy options, gather feedback, and iterate with product managers and designers. Join recurring project meetings (e.g., weekly “time to ship” messaging discussions) and internal UX/content check‑ins as needed. Use data, user research, and stakeholder input to inform content decisions and refine copy over time. Collaborate with designers in Figma or similar tools to ensure copy and interaction design work together in prototypes and flows. Occasionally support internal or sales‑related materials by contributing clear, user‑centered messaging and examples of UX copy work. Skills and Qualifications 5+ years of experience in UX writing, content design, or a related role for software, websites, or digital products. Experience or strong interest in life sciences and/or ecommerce; familiarity with technical or regulated content is a plus. Portfolio showcasing UX writing work, including examples of simplifying complex information and supporting user tasks. Solid understanding of user‑centered design principles and how content supports interaction design and user flows. Comfortable working in Figma and common collaboration tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote, Google Workspace, etc.). Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain copy decisions clearly to teammates and clients. Excellent editing and proofreading skills, with high attention to detail and consistency across products and touchpoints. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams (designers, product managers, researchers, developers, content strategists). Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage your own workload, prioritize tasks across multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
