Software Engineer Databricks - Wilmington

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We have formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, along with 3+ years of applied experience.
• We bring hands-on experience in software engineering, system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• We are proficient in Python and have a strong foundation in secure data practices.
• We have practical Databricks experience across Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Workflows, Repos/notebooks, and SQL Warehouses, including cluster setup and optimization.
• We have cloud engineering experience building ML pipelines and deploying models in production with AWS services such as ECS, EMR, Lambda, EC2, and SageMaker.
• We have experience with PySpark, Kafka, Terraform, and Kubernetes for data processing, streaming, infrastructure as code, and container orchestration.
• We have database experience with Oracle and/or Cassandra.
• We are familiar with CI/CD, application resiliency, security best practices, Agile/Scrum methods, and SDLC automation tools.
• We have hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools in the work environment, with the ability to assess, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• We understand responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and resiliency and security expectations.
• Preferred: we have a background in machine learning frameworks, MLOps practices, and end-to-end ML lifecycle management, including feature pipelines, model registry, monitoring, and drift detection.
• Preferred: we have experience with the Python ML ecosystem, including pandas and NumPy, and platforms such as Databricks for data engineering and model development at scale.
• Preferred: we have experience with ERWIN for data modeling.
• Preferred: we are familiar with TensorFlow.
• Preferred: we are familiar with data modeling and query optimization.

• We provide technical leadership across design, development, and troubleshooting for complex, multi-domain solutions, and we establish engineering standards and best practices.
• We write secure, high-quality code in Python and/or Java, and we review and mentor other engineers to improve code quality and maintainability.
• We build data pipelines using Databricks ETL.
• We build and productionize cloud-based ML pipelines, and we drive model deployment and operationalization in partnership with Data Science and SRE/Platform teams.
• We own MLOps workflows, coordinate infrastructure and production changes with SRE, and ensure resiliency, observability, and security throughout the ML lifecycle.
• We apply SDLC tooling and automation to improve delivery speed and reliability, and we champion CI/CD and cloud-native best practices.
• We partner with Product Owners and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions aligned to CCB Finance objectives.

• We use enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity across complex work, while validating results through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
