Site Reliability Engineer - Machine Learning

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We need formal training or certification in site reliability engineering concepts, along with 3+ years of applied experience.
• We expect strong understanding of site reliability culture and the principles behind implementing SRE within an application or platform.
• We require proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java/Spring Boot, or .NET.
• We need working knowledge of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities in the work environment to support SRE workflows, with disciplined validation habits and sensitivity awareness.
• We expect the ability to verify AI-assisted operational recommendations before making changes, escalating when uncertain and following data sensitivity requirements.
• We require solid knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline such as cloud, AI, or Android.
• We need experience with observability, including white-box and black-box monitoring, service level objective alerting, and telemetry collection.
• We require experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tooling.
• We need familiarity with containers, container orchestration, and troubleshooting common networking technologies and issues.
• Preferred experience includes orchestrating data and compute workflows such as Airflow or AWS Step Functions.
• Preferred familiarity with Databricks jobs, clusters, and workspace operations, with Python or REST API experience as a plus.
• Preferred infrastructure-as-code experience, with Terraform Enterprise exposure.
• Preferred exposure to GitOps and configuration management patterns such as Argo CD or Flux, plus operational readiness automation tied to pull-request workflows.
• Preferred familiarity with OpenTelemetry or similar standards for metrics, logs, traces, instrumentation, and correlation.
• AWS certification is preferred.

• We guide and support teammates in building appropriate level designs and gaining alignment with peers, helping embed site reliability engineering best practices within the team.
• We collaborate with software engineers and other teams to design, develop, test, and implement deployment and reliability approaches through automated CI/CD pipelines.
• We use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to speed up incident triage, troubleshooting, and post-incident analysis, while validating outputs and handling operational data according to sensitivity and security requirements.
• We implement infrastructure, configuration, and network as code for the applications and platforms we support.
• We work with technical experts, stakeholders, and team members to resolve complex issues and proactively address problems using service level indicators and objectives before customers are affected.
• We apply enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to spot patterns in operational signals that indicate reliability risk or recurring toil, and we prioritize reuse-first improvements tied to SLO outcomes.
• We maintain a strong focus on availability, reliability, and scalability, and we partner to improve these outcomes iteratively.
• We proactively identify blockers and improvement opportunities to solve business problems, including evaluating new technologies where appropriate.
