JOB SUMMARY The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting general accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger maintenance, fixed asset tracking, and monthly financial close procedures. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the timely completion of recurring accounting processes. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES Process vendor invoices and employee reimbursements in a timely and accurate manner Maintain vendor records (COI and W-9) and assist with year-end 1099 filings Record incoming client payments and prepare deposits Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation Assist with monthly journal entries and account reconciliations Support month-end and year-end close procedures Support ad-hoc financial tasks and projects as needed Assist with internal purchase order generation/processes Other duties as assigned by Principals and Director of Finance QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles. Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Deltek, or similar) and Microsoft Excel EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Associate’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field 2+ years of general accounting experience SALARY & BENEFITS MSKTD & Associates offers competitive compensation and an excellent benefit package, including health/life insurance (HSA), 401(k), 401(k) match, bonus pay as profits and performance permit, and reimbursement for continuing education.
