Regional EHS Manager

Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa subsidiary is searching for a Regional Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to support 2–4 manufacturing facilities within an assigned geographic region. The Regional EHS Manager provides strategic EHS leadership and operational support while serving as a key resource for the successful integration of newly acquired or startup facilities. The Manager will partner with regional operations leadership to build a proactive safety culture, strengthen operational excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive consistent implementation of corporate EHS standards. This position requires significant travel, approximately 60–75%, to provide field coaching, assessments, leadership development, and operational support across assigned facilities.Meyer Utility Structures is a proud subsidiary of the infrastructure company, Arcosa, Inc. Meyer Utility Structures is an industry leader in the engineering design and fabrication of concrete, lattice, and tubular steel structures for transmission, distribution, and substation applications.What You’ll Do:Provide strategic EHS leadership and support to 2–4 manufacturing facilities within an assigned regionLead the implementation, standardization, and continuous improvement of corporate EHS management systems across assigned facilitiesPartner with Plant Managers and Operations Leadership to develop local ownership and accountability for EHS performanceSupport the successful integration of newly acquired or startup facilities into corporate EHS programs, standards, and cultureDrive Serious Injury & Fatality (SIF) prevention initiatives by identifying, controlling, and verifying high-energy hazardsImplement and sustain Critical Control Verification (CCV), Fatality & Life-Changing Event Prevention (Life Savers), and other corporate critical risk programsConduct SIF potential incident reviews and ensure investigations identify systemic causes and sustainable corrective actionsLead regional audits, risk assessments, inspections, and corrective action management processesEvaluate compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable state and local regulationsAnalyze incident trends and leading indicators to identify emerging risks and recommend proactive mitigation strategiesSupport equipment risk assessments, machine safeguarding improvements, lockout/tagout effectiveness, and operational risk reduction initiativesPartner with Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations to implement sustainable risk reduction and engineered safety improvementsCoach supervisors and managers on safety leadership, risk recognition, accountability, employee engagement, and critical risk managementDeliver regional leadership development focused on SIF prevention, Human & Organizational Performance (HOP), critical risk management, and employee engagementSupport standardized onboarding, contractor orientation, and recurring regulatory training programsFacilitate regional safety workshops, leadership meetings, and continuous improvement eventsCoordinate regulatory inspections, agency interactions, and corporate reporting requirementsEnsure incident investigations are completed on time, root causes are identified, corrective actions are implemented, and organizational learning is communicated throughout the regionSupport Workers’ Compensation management, occupational health programs, industrial hygiene, emergency preparedness, and business continuity initiativesSupport Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives including waste reduction, recycling, energy conservation, and sustainability projectsTravel 60–75% throughout the assigned geographic region to provide on-site coaching, assessments, project support, and leadership developmentWhat You’ll Need:Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferredMinimum 7–10 years of progressive EHS leadership experience in manufacturing, heavy industry, utilities, or industrial operationsExperience leading Serious Injury & Fatality (SIF) prevention initiatives and critical risk management programsStrong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable regulatory requirementsProven experience leading incident investigations utilizing root cause analysis methodologiesAbility to travel 60–75% throughout the assigned regionCertified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or equivalent professional certification preferredExperience implementing Human & Organizational Performance (HOP), SIF prevention programs, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, Lean Manufacturing, or Operational Excellence systems preferredBilingual (English/Spanish) preferredJob SummaryRequisition Number: REGIO015105Job Category: Environmental Hlth \& SftySchedule: Full-Time
