The position also offers significant exposure to senior leadership and is a strong feeder role for future senior finance leadership, including Director‑level opportunities.This Regional Controller role, situated at our corporate headquarters, comes with the added opportunity to participate in cross-functional collaboration, finance systems and process optimization, and various analytics and business insights’ analyses. Interested candidates can significantly grow while driving value by helping shape and strengthen our systems and processes, improving cross‑functional workflows, and supporting operational and strategic decision‑making across multiple corporate functions.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:Regional Controllership ResponsibilitiesProvide oversight and financial leadership for assigned plants or regions, ensuring accurate and timely monthly close, reporting, and forecastingMeasure and record business transactions including General Ledger, A/P, Payroll, Inventory and Fixed AssetsEnsure that all reserves, write-offs and accruals are timely and appropriateReview plant income statements, balance sheet accounts, and key operational metrics to identify risks and opportunities, and prepare monthly communications that summarize plant performance, including preparation of insightful variance analysesSupport capital project evaluation, tracking, and post‑investment reviewChallenge budgets and forecasts with an operational mindset to drive improved financial performancePartner closely with Operations and Supply Chain leadership to support profitability, productivity, and capital disciplineEnsure adherence to corporate accounting policies, internal controls, and SOX and regulatory requirementsFacilitate internal and external audit requirements at the plant levelBusiness Optimization / Process Improvement Development OpportunitiesLeverage data, analytics tools, and systems to answer key business questions and drive insightIdentify and implement leading practices that improve forecasting accuracy, working capital management, and reporting consistencyAnalyze existing finance and operational workflows to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for improvementLead cross‑functional initiatives to streamline processes, improve data quality, reduce cost, and enhance decision supportServe as a finance “utility player,” supporting ad‑hoc analyses and strategic initiatives for senior leadershipTwo to three plant accountants will report to this position. Collaboration with plant managers and Operations Directors.EDUCATION: Required: Bachelors Degree (Accounting or Finance) or related fieldEXPERIENCE:Required: 5+ years progressive responsibility accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, with 2+ years of Plant Controllership responsibilityREQUIRED SKILLS: Experience in manufacturing/standard cost accounting environmentsStrong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a process‑oriented curious mindsetAdvanced Excel and strong overall MS Office proficiencyEffective communicator, both verbally and writtenStrong planning, prioritization, and time management abilitiesCollaborative style with the ability to work cross‑functionally and influence outcomesOperational mindset and a desire to drive plant level profitability and continuous improvementGeneral ERP systems understanding, with Oracle E-Business Suite experience preferredCAREER PATH / GROWTH POTENTIALThis role is intended to be a launch point into broader finance leadership, with potential progression into other corporate finance leadership roles, including a Director-level finance leadership role in time.LIMITATIONS & DISCLAIMER:The above job description is meant to describe the general nature and level of work being performed; it is not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required for the position.
