Vice President, Medical Imaging

ICON seeks a Vice President of Medical Imaging to lead its Medical Imaging & Cardiac Safety Services division. This executive role combines strategic scientific and operational leadership, directing business growth, sponsor relationships, and clinical imaging solutions. The position requires a PhD or MD and extensive executive experience in clinical research, medical imaging, diagnostics, or cardiac safety.
Responsibilities
- Serve as senior scientific and strategic leader for Medical Imaging & Cardiac Safety Services in sponsor engagements
- Build and strengthen executive-level sponsor relationships through technical and scientific dialogue on study strategy
- Drive sustainable business growth through strategic account development and proposal strategy participation
- Provide expert guidance on imaging methodologies, endpoint strategies, study design, and regulatory considerations
- Partner cross-functionally with Business Development, Operations, and Medical Affairs to deliver robust solutions
Requirements
- PhD or MD degree
- Executive leadership experience in clinical research, diagnostics, medical imaging, or cardiac safety
- Experience in both large pharmaceutical organizations and Contract Research Organizations
- Deep expertise in medical imaging technologies, imaging biomarkers, and cardiac safety methodologies
- Proven ability to build and expand sponsor relationships through scientific dialogue
- Track record driving business growth through strategic account development and consultative solutions
- US residency with ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 40%
