Warehouse ManagerA well-established industrial logistics company is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse, terminal, and cargo-handling operations in the New Orleans area. This position will be responsible for leading warehouse personnel, maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating labor, ensuring safety and compliance, and providing excellent customer service.ResponsibilitiesManage daily warehouse, terminal, and cargo-handling operationsSupervise, coach, and develop warehouse personnelOversee receipt, storage, handling, and shipment of customer cargoMaintain accurate inventory records and warehouse transactionsCoordinate staffing and labor resources to maximize productivityMonitor departmental expenses and operational costsDevelop and maintain standard operating proceduresWork with customers, carriers, vendors, and internal departmentsEnsure compliance with OSHA, safety, and security requirementsMonitor operational performance and identify opportunities for improvementSupport customer audits, inspections, and compliance reviewsProvide operational updates and recommendations to managementQualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, terminal operations, or supply chain managementMinimum 3 years of supervisory or management experienceWarehouse, port, marine terminal, or similar industrial experience preferredExperience with breakbulk, project cargo, steel, metals, or other industrial commodities is a plusStrong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and cargo managementProficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and TeamsStrong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsAbility to analyze operational data and implement solutionsFamiliarity with forklifts, cranes, and other material-handling equipmentKnowledge of OSHA regulations and terminal operating proceduresAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple prioritiesPhysical RequirementsThis position requires regularly walking through warehouse, dock, yard, and terminal areas, working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
