Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist
Location: Hyannis, MA 02601
Duration: 13 Weeks (with possibility of extension)
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule: 36 hours/week | Rotating days | Every other weekend

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions. The ideal candidate will be experienced in ventilator management, emergency response, and delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities

Assess, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary disorders
Manage ventilators and provide advanced airway support, including intubation assistance and tracheostomy care
Administer oxygen therapy, inhaled medications, and other respiratory treatments
Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gases (ABGs), spirometry, and capnography
Respond to emergency situations including Code Blue and Rapid Response Team (RRT) calls
Monitor patients during intra-hospital transport
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)

Required Qualifications

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification
Active Massachusetts Respiratory Therapy License
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of critical care experience
Experience in acute care or hospital settings

Required Skills

Strong clinical knowledge in respiratory care and ventilator management
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
