Business Developer - Event Catering

Taste Corner is a Miami-based catering company specializing in live culinary experiences. We create chef-attended food and beverage stations for corporate events, weddings, private celebrations, luxury residences, and brand activations throughout South Florida. Our concept is simple: fresh food prepared in front of the guests, elegant presentation, engaging service, and seamless event execution. After a strong first year of growth, we are looking for a driven Business Developer to help us accelerate our expansion across Miami and South Florida. Taste Corner has ambitious plans for the coming years. This position is an opportunity to join us at an early stage, take on a meaningful role within the company, and grow professionally as the business expands. Your Mission Reporting directly to the founder, your mission will be to generate new business opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and build long-term relationships with the people and organizations that regularly book catering services. This is a hands-on business development position. You will not simply manage inbound inquiries, you will actively create new opportunities and open doors for the company. Key Responsibilities New Business Development Identify and prospect new corporate and private-event clients Contact companies, executive assistants, office managers, marketing teams, HR departments, and event decision-makers Build targeted prospect lists and conduct outreach by email, phone, LinkedIn, and in person Schedule qualified discovery meetings and introduce Taste Corner’s services Follow up consistently with prospects until an opportunity is qualified Represent Taste Corner at networking events, industry gatherings, venue visits, and local business events Partnerships Develop relationships with event planners, wedding planners, venues, hotels, agencies, coworking spaces, luxury residential communities, and property managers Create referral partnerships that generate recurring business Maintain regular contact with existing partners and identify new collaboration opportunities Organize tastings, presentations, and introductory meetings with key accounts Help position Taste Corner as a preferred catering and culinary-station partner in South Florida Maintain accurate and organized records of leads, contacts, conversations, and follow-ups Manage the outbound sales pipeline and keep every opportunity moving forward Qualify prospects based on event type, date, guest count, location, budget, and decision timeline Work closely with the founder to prepare proposals and convert qualified opportunities Track weekly activity, meetings, opportunities, signed events, and generated revenue Share market feedback and identify new industries, partnerships, and growth opportunities What Success Looks Like A consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities New relationships with event planners, venues, agencies, and corporate accounts An increasing number of discovery meetings and catering requests New recurring clients and referral partners Clear, organized, and reliable CRM management Measurable revenue generated through outbound business development Who We’re Looking For Previous experience in business development, sales, hospitality, catering, events, or a related field Strong prospecting and relationship-building skills Comfortable communicating by phone, email, LinkedIn, and face-to-face Professional, energetic, organized, and persistent Able to work independently and manage priorities without constant supervision Comfortable attending meetings, venue visits, networking events, and industry events throughout South Florida Results-oriented and motivated by clear performance goals Familiarity with CRM systems and digital prospecting tools Spanish or French is a plus, but not required.
