Pharmacist in Charge in Saint Louis, MO

An immediate opportunity is available for an Interim Pharmacist in Charge at a behavioral health inpatient facility in St. Charles, MO. This contract position offers the chance to lead pharmacy operations during a transitional period, supporting patient care and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including a 30-minute unpaid meal break.


Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations within the inpatient behavioral health setting.
• Manage medication dispensing and restock processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Utilize automated systems for drug loading and inventory management.
• Supervise repackaging tasks in compliance with facility protocols and safety standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to maintain optimal medication management.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid Missouri Pharmacist license required.
• Prior experience with Omnicell automation systems preferred.
• Familiarity with repackaging techniques involving Milt, Medi-dose, or HCL.
• Basic proficiency in loading medications into automated dispensing machines and running restock reports.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in medication handling.
