Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks a Regional Field Leader to oversee pain sales operations across Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio. The role involves leading 8-10 field staff in commercializing JOURNAVX, a novel pain medication, while managing institutional relationships and driving formulary placements across the region.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop team of 4-5 pain territory account managers and 4-5 territory business managers
Establish regional business plans, metrics, and goals while coaching team to deliver results
Guide strategic account planning and formulary pathway placement at key institutions
Collaborate with marketing and cross-functional teams to shape field strategies and drive performance
Ensure forecast achievement through team optimization, coaching, and culture development

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required
10+ years healthcare or biopharmaceutical marketing experience
10+ years supervisory or management experience
Hospital customer engagement and institutional sales leadership experience
Proven strategic account management and formulary navigation expertise
Experience launching new pharmaceutical products preferred
Strong understanding of regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements

Compensation: $168,000 - $252,000 base
