Medical Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and patient-focused Medical Assistant to support daily clinical and administrative operations in a busy healthcare office. The ideal candidate will assist with patient intake, vital signs, appointment coordination, phone support, and durable medical equipment (DME) orders while ensuring excellent patient care and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Room patients and prepare them for provider examinations.
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and patient information.
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures as needed.
• Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up visits.
• Process and track Durable Medical Equipment (DME) orders.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
• Handle prescription refill requests and referral coordination.
• Communicate with insurance companies, pharmacies, and outside providers.
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for patients.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain patient confidentiality.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
• Experience with EMR systems.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant is a plus but not required.
