Senior Litigation Counsel | US | Fintech
\n \nI’m currently working on an exciting opportunity for a Senior Litigation Counsel to join the US legal team of a high-growth, publicly listed fintech at a pivotal stage of its US expansion. This is a genuinely broad role covering government investigations, regulatory matters and litigation risk, with significant exposure to regulators and government agencies.
\n \nThe role:
\n- \n
- Lead and shape strategy around government investigations and regulatory matters \n
- Conduct detailed fact-finding and investigation work \n
- Manage and instruct external counsel where required \n
- Draft clear, well-substantiated responses to regulators and government bodies \n
- Work closely with US regulators as the business continues to expand its banking operations \n
- Operate independently within a complex, matrix environment \n
- Balance strategic legal advice with hands-on, commercial execution \n
What we're looking for:
\n- \n
- Senior US litigator with hands-on government investigations and regulatory experience \n
- Strong in-house experience following training at a leading law firm \n
- Comfortable working independently and influencing across a matrix organisation \n
- Pragmatic, commercially minded and very much a “doer” \n
- Experience within a lean legal team, particularly in financial services/banking, would be advantageous \n
- Consumer-facing litigation experience is highly desirable \n
- Candidates from a regulator or consumer-facing financial organisation with regulatory exposure may also be considered \n
Location: New York, NY or Columbus, OH
\nCandidates must currently live within commutable distance of one of these locations.
