Chief Operating Officer

Physician-owned ophthalmology/optometry organization seeking a COO to oversee operations across 20 clinic locations. This leader will identify operational challenges, develop and execute strategies to improve performance, create stronger cross-functional alignment, and drive organizational growth Responsibilities Assess current clinic operations to identify inefficiencies, process gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Build and implement scalable workflows, SOPs, and operating systems to improve efficiency, consistency, and profitability. Drive execution of operational initiatives and ensure processes are adopted across locations. Improve alignment between clinical, administrative, billing, finance, HR, and IT teams. Use data and performance metrics to identify issues, prioritize solutions, and improve operational outcomes. Lead initiatives focused on workflow optimization, scalability, and organizational growth. Partner with executive leadership to strengthen operational structure and accountability. Requirements 7+ years of healthcare operations experience, ideally within ophthalmology, optometry, or a multi-site healthcare organization. Proven experience improving operational performance, implementing processes, and driving measurable results. Experience building scalable systems and workflows in evolving environments. Strong understanding of how healthcare operations impact revenue, efficiency, and profitability. Ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and influence teams across an organization.
