Client Overview A commercial real estate company is seeking a Property Accountant with strong Yardi experience to join their team. Salary/Hourly Rate $110k - $115k Position Overview The Property Accountant will handle all aspects of accounting and reporting for assigned properties. Responsibilities Of The Property Accountant
- Analyze the general ledger, calculate accruals, and prepare journal entries.
- Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations and analyze variances.
- Provide monthly P&L commentary and variance analysis.
- Assist in internal and external audits.
- Manage relationships and liaise with external customers, including Operations and Finance teams and auditors.
- Participate in projects to improve close process efficiency and effectiveness.
- Utilize Yardi to run monthly reports and close properties.
- Record monthly accrual entries.
- Review and reconcile the general ledger.
- 2+ years of public accounting experience.
- Experience with MRI.
- Implementation experience is a major plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Implementation experience.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting.
- Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance.
- 401(k).
