We're Hiring: Accounting Manager - Process Improvement & Systems Implementation | Distribution Industry Talon Headhunters is partnering with a growing distribution company to find a hands-on Accounting Manager who doesn't just run full-cycle accounting - they rebuild it. This role is for someone who gets energized by fixing manual processes, standing up controls where none exist, and modernizing how a finance function operates. What You'll Own: Full-cycle accounting - AP (largely automated), AR (currently manual - yours to redesign), credit card reconciliations, financial statement prep & reporting Inventory management, expense tracking, and costing methodology - currently FIFO, with leadership open to evaluating and implementing alternatives like weighted average Building reconciliation controls, adjustment protocols, and SOPs from the ground up Identifying process gaps and leading the implementation of new systems, workflows, or automation to close them Acting as a change agent - not maintaining the status quo, but actively modernizing it Why This Role Stands Out: This is a build-it role, not a maintain-it role - leadership wants someone to reimagine AR and costing methodology, not just execute against an existing playbook High visibility and autonomy to design and implement processes and controls that don't currently exist Ideal for someone who's led shared-services builds, system implementations, or SOP creation and wants to apply that skill set in a growing distribution environment Ideal Candidate: A process-driven finance leader with distribution/inventory-heavy accounting experience who has hands-on experience designing SOPs, leading systems implementations, or building out a finance function from scratch - someone who sees a manual process and immediately starts sketching the better version. #J-18808-Ljbffr
