Account Executive - Broad Markets

Account Executive – Commercial/Broad Markets Sales We are seeking an Account Executive to lead Commercial / Broad Markets Sales across the United States. The role is responsible for navigating all steps of sales cycles, including leading a geographic territory, building prospective top‑of‑funnel activity, and effectively managing complex sales cycles to successful close. Key Responsibilities Navigate complex sales cycles from start to finish, leveraging internal resources and cross‑functional collaboration with the customer success team and external partners. Use company‑wide success stories and custom vertical knowledge to develop and execute sales strategies. Deliver compelling in‑person and virtual presentations to Line‑of‑Business and IT audiences, highlighting client discovery, ROI, and business value. Act as a trusted advisor to customers and colleagues, engaging multiple stakeholders across complex deals. Stay informed on industry trends to position Appian effectively against competitors. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of direct selling experience, including at least 2 years as an Enterprise Account Executive selling complex technologies to Commercial clients. Proven, consistent quota attainment and experience winning new customer logos. Strong presentation and communication skills; ability to build business value and ROI. Experience working cross‑functionally and externally with diverse stakeholders. Long‑term job stability and a positive career trajectory. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Compensation Base salary: $125,000‑$225,000 per year (adjusted based on experience, market, and internal equity). Candidates may be eligible to participate in a commission plan subject to applicable policies. Pay and benefits are subject to change.
