Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

Job Description
Adelphi is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide school-based speech-language therapy support to students within a school in Teague, Texas. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to assist with the delivery of services outlined in students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), maintain required documentation, and support student progress toward established communication goals.

Requirements
•Current Texas Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license/credential
•Experience working with school-aged children preferred

Responsibilities
•Provide speech-language therapy services to assigned students under the direction and supervision of a licensed SLP.
•Implement therapy activities and interventions consistent with student IEP goals and objectives.
•Collect and maintain data regarding student participation and progress.
•Assist with progress reporting and maintenance of student service documentation.
•Maintain accurate service logs documenting dates and units of services provided.
•Communicate student performance and progress to the supervising SLP.
•Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other educational personnel as directed.
•Assist with preparation of therapy materials and implementation of communication strategies.
•Follow treatment plans and recommendations established by the supervising SLP and ARD Committee.
•Participate in supervision meetings and other required school or program meetings.
•Maintain student confidentiality and comply with District policies and applicable professional requirements.
•Perform other duties as assigned
