Engineering Manager, Health and Home Infrastructure

Lead, manage, and grow a team of software engineers. Drive hiring, onboarding, career development, mentorship, and performance management while fostering a high-trust, high-performance, collaborative team culture.Define and drive the strategic direction and engineering roadmaps aligning technical investments with Google Home’s long-term goals.Partner with client teams to establish clear roles and responsibilities for horizontal infrastructure.Minimum qualifications:Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.8 years of experience in software development.3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.Experience with Infrastructure and Production Systems.Preferred qualifications:Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.Experience leading engineering teams in distributed transactional storage.Like Google's own ambitions, the work of a Software Engineer goes beyond just Search.
