Key Responsibilities Manage the Galley team during operational activities as directed by the Executive Chef. Supervise food delivery in the Buffet Area, Bell Box, and Alternative Dining outlets, ensuring consistency with recipes, adequate production, and proper execution. Make professional and visible appearances in all Lido Deck and Alternative Dining food outlets as directed. Ensure menu options are available for passengers with dietary requirements and advise passengers accordingly. Participate in daily meetings with Galley management to review operations and plan upcoming activities. Coordinate with the Lido Manager to ensure timely opening of Lido Deck food outlets. Collaborate with other Galley sections to maintain a steady, cost-effective food supply. Control food consumption through portioning and adherence to recipes. Assist in managing stock levels to control costs. Support the Executive Chef in training and orienting Galley staff, especially in the Buffet Area. Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Degree in Culinary Arts or a three-year apprenticeship. At least five years of experience in large-volume culinary operations, with cruise ship experience preferred, including two years as an Executive Sous Chef or Chef De Cuisine. Extensive knowledge of international cuisines and cooking techniques. Leadership and training abilities under pressure. Fluent in English, verbal and written. Proficient in MS Office and related software. Understanding of guest service fundamentals and a commitment to outstanding service. Personable with strong social skills and a friendly personality. Ability to surprise and delight guests throughout their cruise experience. Commitment to maintaining professional relationships in a diverse environment.
