Senior Manager, People Business Partner The New York Post is seeking a Senior Manager, People Business Partner based in New York City. This important role supports leaders across the newsroom and commercial functions, helping execute strategies for a fast-moving, high-profile media organization. Responsibilities Partner with department leaders and employees to align people strategies with the New York Post’s editorial, commercial, and digital priorities. Support organizational design efforts, workforce planning, and change initiatives in collaboration with senior HR leadership. Provide guidance on employee engagement, performance management, talent development, and career progression in fast-paced teams. Manage and resolve employee relations matters, including investigations, performance concerns, and workplace conflict, with sound judgment and discretion. Leverage data and workforce insights to inform decision-making and recommend practical solutions. Promote transparent communication and contribute to a culture of accountability, inclusion, and trust. Support innovation and process improvements, including adoption of AI tools where appropriate, to enhance team effectiveness. What You Have 6+ years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years in an HR Business Partner or equivalent client-facing role. Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience supporting fast-paced teams, including commercial, sales, or editorial/creative environments. Strong foundation in employee relations, investigations, and performance management. Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices. Demonstrated ability to balance business partnership with employee advocacy. Experience operating within a matrixed or complex organization preferred. Strong coaching, influencing, and problem-solving skills. Data-informed mindset with experience using metrics to guide action. Ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion. Willingness to work on-site in midtown Manhattan in alignment with a hybrid model. Note Note: This role is based in our Midtown Manhattan office and follows a hybrid work schedule. Compensation & Benefits Comp Range: $120,000 - $150,000, eligible for bonus. For bonus‑eligible roles, targets are determined based on multiple considerations, including market benchmarks and individual contributions.
