Job Description

Assist with the setup and operation of CNC Mill/Lathe machines and secondary machines. Assemble machined components, inspect, deburr, and wash machined parts. Responsible for packing machined parts and materials.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate CNC machinery, including Mill/Lathe and secondary machines.
• Assemble machined components.
• Inspect, deburr, and wash machined parts.
• Pack machined parts and materials.
• Perform tool changes and upload programs to the controller.
• Conduct quality checks using micrometers and calipers.
• Understand and apply G code in operations.
• Work with Fanuc and Haas controllers.

Essential Skills

• Experience in CNC operating on milling/turning.
• Ability to measure parts using micrometers and calipers.
• Capability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience in loading and unloading material.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1-3 years of CNC experience on mills and/or lathes.
• Knowledge of performing quality checks and tool changes.
• Familiarity with uploading programs to controllers and performing offsets.
• Experience with Fanuc controllers and working with Haas, Swiss, or Studer machines.

Work Environment

Work in a clean, climate-controlled environment responsible for piece-part production by setting up and operating CNC machinery. The role includes physical activities such as lifting, bending, and squatting to handle up to 50lbs for extended periods. The 2nd shift operates from 2:30 pm to 11 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime on Saturdays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Prospect, IL.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Mount Prospect,IL.
