Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Accounts Receivable Specialist on behalf of an established facilities maintenance company supporting commercial clients throughout the region. This is a full-time, temporary-to-hire opportunity based 100% onsite in Manhattan, New York City , offering the potential to transition into a permanent position. POSITION OVERVIEW The Accounts Receivable Specialist will support daily accounting operations by processing customer invoices, tracking incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with account reconciliations. RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare, process, and maintain customer invoices, ensuring accurate billing and timely financial documentation. Record incoming payments, apply transactions to customer accounts, and maintain accurate accounts receivable records. Monitor outstanding balances, review aging reports, and follow up on overdue customer payments. Reconcile customer accounts, investigate payment discrepancies, and assist with resolving billing issues. Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks or related accounting systems and Microsoft Excel. Collaborate with accounting and operations teams to support collections, financial reporting, and daily administrative processes. QUALIFICATIONS Experience in accounts receivable, billing, payment processing, bookkeeping, or related accounting functions. Intermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency, including familiarity with VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, and financial spreadsheets. Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software and the ability to learn new systems. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS This full-time, temporary-to-hire opportunity offers $30.00 per hour, equivalent to approximately $62,400 annually based on a 40-hour workweek and 52 weeks of employment. The position is based 100% onsite in Manhattan, New York City, with a Monday-Friday schedule totaling 40 hours per week. The opportunity offers potential conversion to permanent employment based on performance and organizational needs.
