DESCRIPTION Position Summary The Line Person supports our kitchen team by preparing and assembling high-quality ingredients for our fondue dining experience. Unlike a traditional kitchen, most items are prepared for guests to cook tableside, making accuracy, organization, and consistency far more important than cooking experience. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision, works well under time constraints, and thrives in a team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, portion, and plate ingredients according to Melting Pot standards and recipes
- Set up and maintain a clean, organized line for service
- Manage prep lists efficiently to ensure all items are ready for service
- Prioritize tasks during busy periods to support smooth kitchen flow
- Maintain proper food handling, storage, and sanitation standards
- Communicate effectively with kitchen teammates and management
- Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned
- Maintain attention to detail to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency on every plate
- No prior cooking or kitchen experience required (we will train the right person)
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- High attention to detail and ability to follow systems and standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- No traditional cooking line or fryers
