Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with orthopedic conditions to determine their functional abilities and rehabilitation needs.
• Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans based on the patients' evaluations and physician referrals, emphasizing pain relief, restoration of function, and prevention of disability.
• Provide hands-on therapy interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
• Oversee and mentor physical therapy assistants in the execution of therapy modalities, ensuring alignment with prescribed treatment plans.
• Continuously assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, documenting all findings and modifications accurately.
• Educate patients and their families regarding rehabilitation techniques, exercise regimens, and the use of assistive devices effectively.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to evaluate and enhance comprehensive care strategies for each patient.
• Maintain clinical records including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Participate in case conferences, presenting pertinent patient data and discussing care plan adjustments with the healthcare team.
• Engage with the community through workshops and educational events to promote health and wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role is dedicated primarily to orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal disorders. You will work closely with individuals seeking to regain mobility, improve strength, and address pain management effectively. Our patient demographic is diverse and includes young athletes, active adults, and seniors, allowing you to apply a broad range of therapeutic techniques that cater to different life stages and physical challenges.

Qualifications

• A valid Physical Therapy License in the state of Florida.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in an orthopedic physical therapy setting.
• Strong communication skills to effectively educate and engage patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with outpatient orthopedic therapy, preferably in a settings similar to New Balance Movement Physical Therapy.
• Familiarity with current therapeutic techniques used in orthopedic rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
