Psychotherapist for Integrated Care - Licensed in California
$115k - $130kFinding Path Psychological Center
Job Description
Position Overview\n
Finding Path Psychological Center is actively seeking a dedicated and credentialed Licensed Mental Health Therapist, specifically individuals holding LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW licenses. This full-time role is focused on delivering essential mental health services to clients facing both mental health and substance use challenges, supporting their journey towards recovery and holistic wellness.
About the Organization\nAt Finding Path Psychological Center located in the heart of Orange, California, we pride ourselves on our commitment to providing evidence-based mental health care. Our integrated outpatient practice focuses on the unique needs of clients with co-occurring disorders, offering a comprehensive range of services designed to promote overall well-being. Our mission is to create a supportive environment where individuals can feel empowered in their recovery process.
Work Environment\nThis position operates remotely, providing flexibility while delivering quality care. Though primary interactions may be virtual, our therapists are integral team members who collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary staff, including psychiatrists and addiction specialists, aiding the care of clients in an outpatient setting. The organization fosters a culture of teamwork, encouragement, and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health and substance use issues, ensuring an understanding of each client’s unique history and challenges related to co-occurring disorders. \n
- Collaboratively develop comprehensive, personalized treatment plans in consultation with clients, utilizing evidence-based therapies to address individual mental health and substance use needs. \n
- Deliver individual and group therapy sessions aimed at strengthening clients’ coping mechanisms, relapse prevention strategies, and emotional regulation techniques, while employing motivational interviewing to encourage client engagement. \n
- Regularly monitor clients’ substance use, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, and maintain open communication about their progress and potential challenges. \n
- Engage in educational outreach, providing clients and their families with critical information regarding the interconnections of mental health and substance use, as well as emphasizing the importance of continuous treatment participation. \n
- Ensure meticulous documentation of treatment processes, including progress notes and referral details, following all relevant ethical and legal guidelines. \n
- Participate actively in case conferences, staff training sessions, and organizational meetings aimed at enhancing skills and knowledge in the treatment of co-occurring disorders. \n
Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and face a range of challenges related to mental health and substance use disorders. Finding Path Psychological Center aims to create a safe and welcoming space for each individual, recognizing the complexities of their circumstances and crafting therapeutic approaches that resonate on a personal level. Our integrated model focuses on treating the whole person rather than just symptoms.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is a primary requirement. \n
- Possession of current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT within the state of California is essential for this role. \n
- Mastery of evidence-based practices applicable to co-occurring disorders, such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). \n
- A thorough understanding of the complex interplay between mental health and substance use disorders and a commitment to utilizing this understanding to guide treatment strategies. \n
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, fostering smooth collaboration with colleagues across various disciplines within the organization. \n
- \n
- Experience in the treatment of both mental health and substance use disorders, particularly in an integrated care setting. \n
- Demonstrated ability to engage clients effectively in both therapeutic and educational contexts. \n
- Prior experience with direct supervision or mentorship roles is a plus but not a strict requirement. \n
The salary for this role ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000 yearly, reflecting the importance of this position within our organization. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a comprehensive healthcare benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage to ensure our employees and their families are well looked after.
\nAdditional benefits include a retirement savings plan with employer-matching contributions, generous paid time off (PTO), professional development opportunities, and a collaborative work environment aimed at nurturing your career growth.
Career Growth Opportunities\nFinding Path Psychological Center is committed to continuous improvement and offers ample opportunities for professional development. Therapists will gain exposure to the latest research in mental health and substance use treatments through access to training programs, workshops, and ongoing education, fostering both personal and professional growth within the field.
Why Join Our Team\nJoining Finding Path Psychological Center means becoming part of a compassionate and committed team dedicated to making a genuine difference in the lives of clients facing challenging conditions. Our supportive work environment encourages collaboration, innovation, and the sharing of best practices. Together, we are breaking barriers and redefining recovery pathways for individuals with co-occurring disorders.
