Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art Surgical Center in Pahrump, Nevada. The clinic operates within a collaborative environment with a team that includes experienced OB/GYNs and other Advanced Practice Clinicians. The typical work schedule involves a 40-hour week over five days, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic without call responsibilities. Our facility provides a supportive culture where clinicians are empowered to practice at the peak of their professional licenses.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage your own patient panel, while also attending to physician overflow when necessary, ensuring continuity of care.

• Provide comprehensive healthcare services, including conducting physical examinations, diagnosing conditions, and developing treatment plans.

• Perform a variety of procedures such as IUD insertions, Nexplanon placements, endometrial and vulvar biopsies, colposcopies (when trained), and circumcisions (when trained).

• Document patient interactions comprehensively using EPIC EMR, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping.

• Collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and improve service delivery.

• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, preventive care, and treatment options.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant will primarily focus on women’s health within the OB/GYN specialty. You will work with a diverse patient population, offering care that respects cultural differences and promotes holistic health initiatives. Your clinical skills will directly contribute to improving women’s healthcare access and outcomes in the Pahrump community.

Qualifications

• Possession of a current Physician Assistant Certification.

• Must have an unrestricted State Medical License to practice as a Physician Assistant.

• A Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program is required.

• Full COVID-19 vaccination, including any required boosters, is a prerequisite for this role.

• Strong skills in active listening, critical thinking, effective communication, and time management are essential.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of experience in a clinical setting is strongly preferred.

• Experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with EPIC EMR will be an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits
