Job Title

Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) | Night Shift

Location

Asheville, North Carolina

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 44-bed Progressive Care Unit with a 4:1 patient ratio (up to 5:1 when stretched)
• Perform neurological and spinal assessments, including C-collar placement and TLSO brace management
• Manage chest tubes, PCA pumps, IV infusions, lumbar drains, and feeding tube placement
• Administer blood transfusions and monitor patients on continuous IV pump therapy, including Skylifts and patient lift equipment
• Document and maintain accurate patient records utilizing Cerner EMR
• Float to stepdown and med-surg units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience in neuro and trauma care
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR
• Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Dedicated neuro and trauma care background with demonstrated clinical competency
• Experience with PCU or stepdown level patient populations
• Familiarity with lumbar drain management and tracheostomy care
